Entry #02; 19th October 2010

Design And Construction
A visit to the workshop by a number of the group was meant to discuss certain joints to construct the shelter. With much help by the workshop manager, Lyle McCance, discussion was ended with a very define type of joint for construction.

Advised by McCance, a plan to make a 1:1 scale of mock up resembling the joint was also in discussion and was attempted in the workshop. This was meant to give clearer view of the proper construction of detailing of the structure and having a practicality to the membes on the construction.

Fundraising
The posters for the Open Mic Night and the charity event of leg waxing were conjured to be handed out to students and prospect interests, which are handled by Katy Snodgrass and Sunita Bhawal.

Increasing the fundraising of the shelter in every mean possible, Constantina Kyriakou attempted to collect money by taking a bucket and simply panhandling students, a seemingly act of desperation but provingly to be a progress in the fundraising.

Documentation
The presentation of sections and plans that were made upon a1 sheets were scanned and saved which will then be utilised as part of the process works of the helter.

John Melling was in charge of the logo design, which he complied by creating a big C which is followed by the letter 'rux' simply stating the name of the shelter, The Crux. This design will be thoroughly used in every aspect of the project, becoming a brand for the project.
